Tiny Duck Industries started as an inside joke between our creative director, Meredith, and her lovely friends at her day job as a teacher. Throughout this project, Meredith has been supported and encouraged by Mike, our lovable techno-wizard.
How did we make the office?
Most of the furniture in the Tiny Duck Industries Office is 3D printed using Bambu Labs PS1 3D Printers. A few pieces are made out of paper or were miniatures that already existed in our collection.
Majority of the furniture was found through makerworld or thingiverse. The picture frame, employee of the month plaque, and pamphlet holder were designed by Meredith using a combination of blender and bambu studio. Our furniture was primed and painted using a variety of different miniature paints.
Why did we make the office?
It was a fun exercise in learning the limitations of our 3D printer and practicing painting. We decided to expand the project to incorporate script writing, recording, and audio editing for our voicemail system. We also made the website that you are reading now. Thanks for checking it out!
Does the phone number work?
Absolutely. It was Mike’s idea. He proposed the idea of having a voicemail server with different options and helped to write the scripts for each of them. Meredith made the recordings. Mike handled the post production and set everything else up.
